Make Money Online Journal is my live documented mission to make money on the Internet using primarily Google Adsense. Although I have a steady income through blogging for private companies and adding text links and other advertising, I want to create a bigger passive cash flow by using Google Adsense on several websites.
I hope to optimize for over 120 websites in the next 3 months and I will be charting my progress as I go. Follow along my journey through this blog and feel free to challenge me to a making money online contest. I will enjoy the competition, but I don’t need it. The easy dollar drives me to work as hard as I can. Did I just type an oxymoron?
The 120 sites goal comes from a specific dollar figure. If I can average 28 cents per day per website, I will make $12,264 per year. $12,000 was my initial dollar figure goal but because the numbers don’t come out easily, the total ended up being $12,264. The starting date will be today, April 25, 2009.
I’m not starting fresh so I have an advantage, but thus far Adsense has only been pulling several hundred dollars a year for me – probably around $500. This is due to several reasons: 1) a lot of sites aren’t optimized in many degrees for Adsense, 2) I haven’t focused my efforts on Adsense yet, 3) I was using Adsense wrong when I did, and 4) I had pulled Adsense from some of my sites because I didn’t think it worked.
